مشکلة البحث: تکمن مشکلة هذا البحث في الإجابة عن التساؤل الرئيس التالي: ما واقع ومستقبل الصحافة الورقية في مصر من وجهة نظر الصحفيين العاملين بها؟.
أهمية البحث: الصحافة الورقية تُعد من أهم وسائل الإعلام في العصر الحديث، وتراجعها وحدوث أزمات بها سوف يُفسح المجال لوسائل الاتصال الحديثة، الأمر الذي يضر بالمجتمع.
أهداف البحث: الوقوف على أسباب أزمة الصحافة الورقية في مصر من وجهة نظر القائمين عليها، ومحاولة البحث عن حلول لهذه الأزمة.
نوع البحث ومنهجه:  منهج المسح الوصفي
طريقة اختيار العينة: عينة عشوائية بسيطة
عينة البحث:   100 مفردة من الصحفيين العاملين في الصحف الورقية المصرية.
نتائج البحث:
-       أجمع 95% من عينة البحث أن الصحافة الورقية بمصر تمر بأزمة في الوقت الراهن.
-       اتفقت عينة البحث أن هناک أسباب کثيرة ومتنوعة لأزمة الصحافة الورقيه في  مصر.
-        أجمع 99 % من عينة البحث أن مواقع التواصل الإجتماعي والفضائيات التليفزيونية أثرت على الصحافة الورقية في مصر.  
-       أجمع 60% من عينة البحث أن المجتمع لا يحتاج إلى الصحافة الورقية بشکل کبير.
-       يري 47% من الصحفيين عينة البحث أن مشکلة الصحافة لا يوجد لها حل.
-        توقع 82% من عينة البحث تراجع الصحافة الورقية بشکل أکبر مما هي عليه الآن.
-       اتفق 30% من عينة البحث أن الهاتف المحمول سيکون بديلاً عن الصحافة الورقية.
-       59% من عينة البحث يرون أن الصحافة الورقية إلى زوال.

The problem of research: The problem of this research lies in answering the following main question: What is the reality and future of the paper-based press in Egypt from the viewpoint of journalists working in it?
The importance of research: Paper journalism is considered one of the most important media in the modern era, and its retreat and crises will give way to modern means of communication, which will harm society.
The objectives of the research: Finding out the causes of the crisis of the paper press in Egypt from the viewpoint of those in charge of it, and trying to find solutions to this crisis.  
Research type and methodology: Descriptive survey method.
Method of selection of the sample: Simple random sample.
research results:
- 95% of all respondents agree that the paper press in Egypt is currently in crisis.
- The research sample agreed that there are many and varied reasons for the crisis of paper press in Egypt.
- 99% of all respondents agree that social media and TV channels have affected the paper press in Egypt.
- 60% of all respondents agree that the society does not need paper press very much.
- 47% of journalists believe that the problem of journalism has no solution.
- 82% of the sample expected the paper press to decline more than it is now.
- 30% of respondents agreed that the mobile phone will be a substitute for the paper press.
- 59% of the sample believe that the paper press is disappearing.
