العوامل النفسية المُنبئة بقبول جراحة التجميل لدى عينة من الجنسين (دراسة مقارنة)

      هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التنبؤ بقبول جراحة التجميل من الرضا عن صورة الجسم وتقدير الذات، والکشف عن الفروق في قبول جراحة التجميل وفق متغيرات  ( الجنس -الدخل الشهري–العمر - الحالة الاجتماعية) . شارک في الدراسة (300) فرداً، (135)من الذکور، و(165) من الإناث اعتمدت الباحثة في جمع بيانات الدراسة على مقياس قبول جراحة التجميل ومقياس الرضا عن أجزاء الجسم ومقياس تقدير الذات. أظهرت النتائج أن صورة الجسم وتقدير الذات تنبأت بقبول جراحة التجميل حيث فسرت هذه المتغيرات (0.34) % من التباين الکلي في الدرجات على مقياس قبول جراحة التجميل، کما کشفت النتائج عن وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً في قبول جراحة التجميل والتي تُعزى لمتغيري الجنس لصالح الإناث ومتغير الحالة الاجتماعية لصالح العزاب، في حين لم تظهر فروق  
Psychological factors predict the acceptance of cosmetic  surgery among males and females.

      The current study aimed to predict the consideration of cosmetic surgery by considering the following independent variables: body image satisfaction, self-esteem, and differences in the levels of acceptance of cosmetic surgery were assessed by gender, marital status, age, and monthly income. Three-hundred  male and females were surveyed.  The survey included the Consider subscale of the Acceptance of Cosmetic Surgery Scale, Body Parts Satisfaction Scale and Self-Esteem Scale.  Multivariate regression showed that the significant predictors of acceptance of cosmetic surgery were greater body image and, less self-esteem these variables, which explained (0.34)% of the total variance in scores Acceptance of Cosmetic Surgery Scale. There were statistically significant differences in consideration for cosmetic surgery by gender and marital status, while there were no statistically significant differences in consideration for cosmetic surgery by age or monthly income.
