الملخص :
المسکن ينمو ويتطور مع السکان ويتأثر بالتغيرات المستمرة التى تطرأ على الأسرة بمرور الزمن نتيجة تغير ظروفها الإقتصادية والإجتماعية ، فتتغير إحتياجات أفرادها تبعا لتغير حجمها ، أو مستوى دخلها ، لذا تلجأ الأسرة إلى تکييف المسکن مع إحتياجاتها المستجدة ، وبناءا عليه يتم إجراء تغييرات في عدد غرف المسکن زيادة أو نقصانا ، أو تغيير وظيفة إستخدام الفراغ الداخلى لوظيفة أخرى طبقا لمتطلبات مستخدميه . وهنا تظهر أهمية البحث فى توضيح دور التصميم الداخلى فى توفير البيئة الملائمة لشاغلى الوحدة السکنية وظيفيا وجماليا مما يؤدى إلى کفاءة المسکن ومرونة الأداء. فان اللجوء إلى المصمم الداخلى فى المراحل الأولية لإجراء التعديلات اللازمة والتى تتناسب مع الإحتياجات والظروف المتغيرة للمستخدمين يؤدى إلى وحدة وتکامل التصميم ويعمل على تقليل الزمن المستغرق وخفض تکاليف التنفيذ والحصول على حالة من الرضا العام لدى کل الأطراف .
تناول البحث مفهوم العملية التصميمية للمنشآت السکنية ، وتطرق إلى خطوات تحقيق المرونة في المسکن من خلال تغيير شکل الفراغ السکنى الداخلىإنشائيا ووظيفيا وجماليا بالمشارکة الفعالة فى کل مراحل التصميم والتنفيذ لکل من المعمارى والمصمم الداخلى طبقا لرغبات المستخدم . ثم أجرت الباحثة دراسة حالة لوحدة سکنية دوبليکس وقامت بالتصميم والتنفيذ بناء على رغبة واحتياجات مستخدمى الوحدة ، وقامت بوصف وتحليل وتنظير الحالة فى جميع مراحل العملية التصميمية وحتى الإنتهاء منها وتسليمها للمالک.

Summary:
The housing is growing and developing with the population and is affected by the constant changes in the family over time as a result of changing economic and social conditions. The needs of its members vary according to the size of the house or its income level, so the family adapts the house to its new needs ,so they may increase or decrease the number of the rooms ., or change the function of using the internal space of another function according to the requirements of its users. Here, the importance of research to clarify the role of interior design in providing the environment suitable for occupants of the housing unit functionally and aesthetically, leading to the efficiency of housing and the flexibility of performance. The design flexibility is the best solution to provide efficient use of the spaces of the house, in addition to its role in meeting the social stability of the family through the use of the house throughout its lifetime. The problem of research is that there is no valid reference due to the use of non-specialists in the field of interior design leading to the failure of interior space and the occurrence of mistakes in implementation may cause damage in the house, which requires more effort, time and cost to repair them. Therefore, resorting to the internal designer in the initial stages to make the necessary adjustments and commensurate with the changing needs and circumstances of the users leads to the unity and integrity of the design and reduces the time taken and reduce the costs of implementation and obtain a state of general satisfaction of all parties. The research dealt with the concept of the design process of residential establishments. He also discussed the steps to achieve flexibility in the housing by changing the shape of the internal residential space, constructively, functionally and aesthetically, with effective participation in all stages of design and implementation of both architecture and interior design according to the user's wishes. The researcher then conducted a case study for the duplex unit and designed and implemented according to the wishes and needs of the users of the unit, and described, analyzed and reviewed the situation in all stages of the design process until completion and delivery to the owner.
